Stages of Herpes: Learn Which Stage of Herpes You Are In To Choose the
Right Line of Treatment
Being infected with herpes is bad enough, but not knowing the stages of herpes is even worse.
Unless you know the stages of herpes, how will you determine which stage you are in and how will you know which line of
treatment to follow? And once you are aware of the stages of herpes, you can immediately take preventive
measures that will stop the spread of this virus.
Early Stages Of Herpes
At this stage you will experience redness in the infected area along with a painful feeling with
sores and itching at the same place. You could be in for worse luck, the redness will turn into the skin swelling
in the infected region. The good news is that generally the swelling is characterized by mildness and so you can’t
notice it that easily. If the swelling is severe, then it will lead to harsh pain.
There are also people who experience flu like symptoms at the beginning. The funny part is that
most people having herpes don’t know it is one of the earliest symptoms. However, not every single person
experiences this stage.
2nd Stage Of Herpes
Here you will notice small blisters developing on the affected area and to add woe to injury, many
of these blisters are often fluid filled. These fluid filled blisters can be pretty painful and when the sac is
filled completely, the sac will burst and turn into ulcers. They can even scab over and you will feel like peeling
off the scab which can complicate the problems even further. Never peel the scabs. The scabs will continue to grow
harder and harder and soon the scabby area will grow new skin just beneath.
If you have herpes lesions, they will heal but will
never produce the side effect of scarring that is visible. So you are saved that way. But picking and peeling of
scabs will lead to scars. Surely you don’t want a handful of scars dotting your genital region after every single
outbreak of herpes!
